Steps To Write A Term Paper Quickly - Presentation Transcript

    1. Steps to write a term paper quickly College students have lot of term papers to be completed on time. They find it difficult to complete it in a few days. Although there are some students who can complete the paper on time without any problem, but most of them find it difficult to write a paper that a professor will really appreciate. Stop worrying. You don’t require some special talent for writing a term paper. Just follow these simple steps and you can finish the term paper on time. Start writing the paper as soon as possible. A student would receive an assignment and be given a number of weeks to finish it. But this is a rare case. Most of the professors will assign papers with a week’s notice. Don’t get panic even if you have a week’s time. You still have a week’s time to complete the term paper. But many students try to postpone their work. They should not postpone and try to start the work soon, sooner they begin, sooner they will complete. Numbers of hours spent for the research work should be reduced. When you start with your research work, read the first line of a paragraph and if it sounds interesting and useful start reading. If not, move on to the next paragraph. If the information is useful, write it in the note card. Once your note cards are ready, your process work will move more quickly. Your note cards should be in order of importance. While writing your paper, first write the most important information and then the least important statement. Some argue that it should be done vice versa. But many professors disagree. Many professors generally judge a paper before they’re even halfway through reading it. You should group your note cards into similar topics. This will make your paper sound more organized and scholarly. The last thing a student wants is a paper that states topics in a disorganized manner. Analyze your subject properly. Term paper doesn’t mean a display of all the research a student has done on a topic. It should also display the students’ analytical thoughts. Go into depth. Analysis is meat and bones of your paper. It’s okay to quote a book and then talk about that quote. Always write a rough draft. If you avoid writing a rough draft, it may take more time to complete the paper. Don’t make a perfect rough draft. Rough drafts are just rough, disorganized and sloppy. You can sort down your ideas onto rough draft. After you have written a rough draft, it may take less time to rewrite, reorganize and rewrite. Do not plagiarize. To avoid plagiarism it is important that you document every idea that you took from someone else. In the cover sheet, add your name, professor’s name, course number and date on it. Put the paper on the presentation folder to stand out.
