  •  Salman Khan made his acting debut in Biwi Ho To Aisi (1988). He achieved commercial success with the blockbuster Maine Pyar Kiya (1989), for which he won a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. He has starred in several commercially successful films, such as Saajan (1991), Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1994), Karan Arjun (1995), Judwaa (1997), Pyar KiyaTo Darna Kya (1998), Biwi No.1 (1999) and Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999), having appeared in the highest grossing film nine separate years during his career, a record that remains unbroken.
  •  In 1998 he was arrested by the local police from the shooting location of the film Hum Saath-Saath Hain (1999), for killing protected wild animals and spent about a week behind the bars. The actor is facing trial in three cases of killing black bucks and Chinkaras
  •  In September 2002, Salman Khan had hit the headlines after he crashed his Land Cruiser near the American Express bakery in Bandra, killing one man and injuring others. He also faces charges of drunk driving and not having a valid licence. If convicted, he could be jailed for up to 10 years.
  •  His relationship with actress Aishwarya Rai was a well publicised topic in the Indian media.[84] After their break-up in March 2002, Rai accused him of harassing her. She claimed that Khan had not been able to come to terms with their break-up and was hounding her; her parents lodged a complaint against him.[85]
  •   Had a well publicised affair with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan which lasted 2 years. Apparently his endless tantrums traumatized her enough to give a press conference in spring 2003 where she declared that she would never work with him again for personal reasons. Was accused in another press conference in spring 2003 by Vivek Oberoi (who was reportedly seeing Aishwarya Rai at the time) to have called the latter 41 times during one night and threatened him with death as well.
  •  Often known as Bollywood's "bad boy," his knack of walking into trouble has overshadowed people's perception of him as an actor. He has been featured as the bad guy of the industry several times over.
  •  Being known for those roguish behaviors, he tried to balance his troubled life with his career. In 2003, he gave his emotionally charged performance as playing an obsessed lover in Tere Naam (2003) that translated into good reviews and a good run at the box office. He not only managed to revive his career, but also to restore the confidence of his producers and distributors alike.
  •  His work was noticed internationally in the movie Phir Milenge (2004) where he played the role of an AIDS patient. It was well appreciated by the World Health Organization (WHO) for presenting the problems of AIDS patient in today's world.
  • In 2007, he launched Being Human - Salman Khan Foundation. This charitable organization aids the underprivileged in areas such as education and health-care.  Has his own non-profit charitable foundation, Being human - The Salman Khan Foundation, whose emphasis is on health care and education. Proceeds from the sale of watches he has designed, paintings he has done, and the Being human t-shirts go to the foundation. 
  •     Frequently visits sick children in hospitals, and also goes often to donate blood. Exercises daily. he initiate people who aren't as health-conscious as himself into workouts. He forced co-star Anil Kapoor to work out at the gymnasium every day. While Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan are his early trainees. had a big hand in the careers of now super composers Sajid-Wajid and Himesh Reshamiyya & Sonakshi Sinha
  •   Khan hosted the second season of 10 Ka Dum in year 2009 which turned out to be even more successful than his first season as host of the game show in year 2008. The show got very high TRPs for Sony Entertainment Television Big Boss - Colors Television
  •  In 2011, he launched his own production company called SKBH Productions (Salman Khan Being Human Productions). Money which will be generated from film productions will be donated to Being Human. First film made under the banner was kids entertainer Chillar Party, which went on to win 3 National Awards, for Best Children's film, best original screenplay and Child Artist's Award .
  • Salman Khan was associated as a brand when he done the advertisement of Hero Honda bikes[, he was signed for Thums Up in 2002 and continued until its contract was over. Later Akshay Kumar replaced Khan.  He has also became the brand ambassador for the travel website, Yatra.com, which also made him a shareholder.[65] (Yeh Meri Commitment Hai!)  He is also the face of the History Channel and the new brand for Suzuki motorcycles,[66] 
  • Salman Khan is also the brand ambassador of the detergent brand, Wheel[69]  The actor has also done a jewellery brand, Sangini with Kareena Kapoor[70]  innerwear brand Dixcy Scott  Britannia' s Tiger biscuits is the latest endorsement of Salman.[71]  He is also the face of Ranbaxy' s Revital replacing Yuvraj Singh[72]  Apart from these brands, he also has Rotomac Pen and SF Sonic Batteries endorsements 
  •  Khan is a very sociable, congenial person and he wilts very quickly without relationships with good friends and people to share good times with. Salman Khan thoroughly enjoys working with others on group projects or community activities. He is quite happy when he is a part of a club, support group, or team of some sort.
  •   One thing that Salman gets right spot-on every time is ‘Audience understanding’ and that is a result of his experience, audience connect and his ability to understand. Most of the actors today segment their audiences in a certain age bracket, but Salman has understood that his target audiences cover 5 yr old to 80 yr old band.
  •  Once the attention of target audience has been captured, he uses the right channels to reach out to them and mostly he has been successful . By far his biggest asset is his susceptibility as a human being and he plays it to the best of his advantage.
  •  Dabangg The film was released on Eid, 10 September 2010 in nearly 1800 screens worldwide. It opened to generally positive reviews and broke several box-office records upon release. The film set another box office record, grossing 80.87 crore in its first week, thus becoming the highest opening week grossing Bollywood film, overtaking the previous record of 3 Idiots. Dabangg went on to gross 215 crore worldwide and Box office India declared it an all-time blockbuster in the second week of its release. It is the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2010 and, as of 2012, the fourth highest–grossing Bollywood film of all time.[34] Dabangg went on to win several awards, including the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing
