  • 9. ANIMO CONFERENCE MISSION STATEMENT<br />To promote health, educational and life activities in a forum where young men and their mentors can share their knowledge, needs and ambitions for mutual empowerment. <br />
  • 10. The Participants <br />Latino young men, ages 12-17<br />Fathers, uncles, teachers and mentors who accompany the youth. <br />A special Fathers’ session is held while the young men attend their own sessions. The focus is on issues such as decreasing domestic violence, manhood and their expression of self as a Latino man.<br />Volunteer professional Latino men who come to assist and support the youth throughout the day.<br />
