Cold sores, otherwise known as fever blisters are n more
Cold sores, otherwise known as fever blisters are not the most comfortable infections to have! There even more of a nuisance when you have them reoccurring from time to time. I can relate to that as I have had in the past reoccurring problems with cold sores! How many times have you felt the sort of tingling feeling on the side of your lip? You know whats coming right? One of those horrible cold sores again. In this article I want to help you with some cold sore
remedies.
Probably the easiest and most cost effective way of curing a cold sore is home remedies. Below you will find various home remedies for cold sores that have been said to work. The first home remedy for a cold sore is to rub ice on the cold sore for 5-10 minutes every hour. Another way to prevent the infectious spread is to apply a wet and cold tea bag for the same time period. This method has a sort of antiviral effect and works well in my experience. The wet tea bag has tannic acid which prevents the spread of the infection. On the other hand a warm tea bag applied for about 20-30 minutes for several times a day should work to remove the cold sore in about five to seven days.
There are many food supplements that help with battling your cold sores! Foods that will actually aggravate cold sores and will help eliminate your oral infection. Some of these foods include such things as peas, nuts, seeds chocolate, oatmeal and other wheat foods. The reason why these foods can help in the battle against your cold sore is because they contain a lot of
arginine which deters and aggravates a cold sore.
The vitamin B12 and folic acid are supplements that help rid a body of a cold sore. Another home remedy combination for a cold sore is a formula that can be made and used again and again. What up will need is 100 milliliters of coconut oil, 2ml of dettol, and 3ml of carbolic acid. You need to apply this between once and twice a day directly on the cold sore. This
remedy works well for cold sores, but it also works very well for boils, minor itching and mosquito bites. You'll be happy to know that the shelf life of this formula is for many years too! less
