Transcript

  • 1. A lovely cup of tea in London
    • Well, get ready to walk the main attractions in London.
    • 2. I took my mom there this Easter 2010 and now I will show you.
    • 3. Hope you enjoy the virtual trip from García Morato High with your teacher, Paloma Barrancos.
  • 4. Trafalgar Square
    • It is like our “Puerta del Sol” in Madrid.
    • 5. People will gather here to celebrate the New Year's Eve.
    • 6. Lots of history in Nelson's statue and the lions. It is always a pretty crowded place.
  • 7. Big Ben
    • Big Ben is the bell which will chime every day and for Christmas time.
    • 8. It is quite impressive, huge, bigger than you think and bright like gold under the sunrays.
    • 9. You will have to go to Westminster Road.
  • 10. River Thames
    • Rivers give a rather special character to their cities.
    • 11. Thames is fairly wide and quite used since Roman times.
    • 12. The walk along South Bank until the Modern Tate is a must.
    • 13. Can you see London Eye?
  • 14. St. Paul's and MiIllennium Bridge
    • The Dome of the Cathedral is always breathtaking from the distance.
    • 15. Ancient and modern art mix here, and the water unites both scenies well enough.
  • 16. Queen Victoria at St. Paul's
    • Statues of Queen Victoria are everywhere.
    • 17. Here there is one in front of the rather steep wide stairs that lead to the entrance of the Cathedral.
    • 18. It was 28 th March 2010.
  • 19. Underground to get everywhere.
    • London is a huge city, so you need a quick means of transport.
    • 20. Our tube in Madrid is more modern, but I find that old symbols or signs should always be present and remain somehow.
  • 21. The Natural History Museum
The building is so beautiful outside and inside that I would spend hours in the premises.
    • Seeing the artful white statue of Darwin at the end of the stairs is rather impressive.
  • 22. HYDE Park
    • The huge green extensions of grass are amazingly beautiful, and you are tempted to seat in the hamacas and relax.
    • 23. You should also visit Green Park, Regents Park and St. James Park.
  • 24. Tower Bridge
    • For me this is London's most beautiful landmark. And it hides many secrets inside!
    • 25. I hope you go to London soon. It is really worth visiting!
