  • 3.  Activate your netID and PW at gateway http://gateway.tamu.edu Activate your OAL account (Gateway > Manage OAL Account > Activate My Account) Sign up for (free!)   • 4.  Access all online resources from library web pages to enable linking to TAMU-licensed full text (even Google Scholar has a TAMU link on library home page) Problems? http://library.tamu.edu > “Off- Campus Access” or “Report Problems” or “Chat with us!”
  • 5.  Check out books, study rooms, wireless netbooks, iPods, Kindles, videos, music, etc. with your TAMU ID card Book group study rooms online http://library.tamu.edu/services/study- spaces Check your account & renew books online; click “My Library Record” in LibCat, http://libcat.tamu.edu No card yet? Don’t worry, a photo ID & your UIN will substitute
  • 6.  Access resources from library web site! Choose a search engine or database ( e.g., Google Scholar, Web of Knowledge, etc.) Search / refine your search; save your search strategy or set up search alerts if important Mark and save your citations to personalized database account, or email, download, or export citations to a citation manager such as EndNote, RefWorks, or Zotero, etc. Use Find Text@TAMU text retrieval options
