1. Tundra
Climates
Tundra is a beautiful place. In the Tundra it is usually cold
and even in the summer the snow doesn’t melt. It does melt
but not under the ground, it’s been frozen for years. The
Tundra has really low humidity and it is also dry in the cold
weather. The average winter temperature is -34° C (-30° F),
but the average summer temperature is 3-12° C (37-54° F).
Tundra is also the coldest out of all the other biomes in the
world. There are no deep root the tundra but, there are still
some plants that are able to resist the cold climate.
Adaption
These are some animals in the tundra: lemmings, voles,
caribou, arctic hares, squirrels, arctic foxes, wolves,
polar bears, ravens, snow buntings, falcons, loons,
sandpipers, terns, snowbirds, gulls, mosquitoes, flies,
moths, grasshoppers, black flies, arctic bumble bees,
2. fish cod, flatfish, salmon, and trout. Animals in the
Tundra don’t get cold because of their thick fur.
About the Tundra
The Tundra’s are found in Canada. The Tundra is the
youngest biome out of all biomes. It is also close to another
biome called Taiga. The trees in Tundra are called pine
trees and they can resist the cold. Animals that live in the
Tundra usually have big paws and thick fur to keep warm.
