REGLAS DE EXPONENTES◊ Para multiplicar factores exponenciales que tienen la misma base y los exponentesson enteros positivos diferentes. am·an = am+n Ejemplo: x2 · x4 = x2+2 = x6◊ Para multiplicar factores que tienen base diferente y exponentes iguales, elexponente se queda igual. (am)n = amn Ejemplo: (x2)4 = x2·4 = x8 ◊ En división, si tienen la misma base y los exponentes son enteros positivosdiferentes, se restan los exponentes. Las variables m y n son enteros positivos, m > n. (ab)n = anbn Ejemplo: (xy)2 = x2y2 ◊ En suma y resta, solo se procede si son términos similares. En otras palabras, loque difiere es su coeficiente numérico.
