  5. 5. In 2009 we set out to reinvent the photobooth experience. Today, Picbox is the leading photobooth concept in Mexico and has transformed social events and below the line activations. ! Premise: The photobooth was conceived more than century ago. No major updates had been considered, thus, the outdated technology and design could not provide an experience that could again deliver excitement, wonder and connection. ! Goal: Create a sustainable business model that delivers an exiting photobooth experience for a new and younger, digital and more connected generation. !Accomplishments: - Operations in over 20 cities in Mexico. - Profitability since month 6. - 2M in revenue. - 1,500 successfully executed events. ! Timeline: 2009 Concept and business development. !2010 Initial operations with a minimum viable product. First iteration on product design and software. 53 executed events first year of operations. 2011 First franchise sold. ! 2012 Second software iteration. ! 2013 Recognition by the Ministry of Economy, Mexico for the franchise business model. 523 executed events in 2013. Oromo provides true value by direct trade practices to local coffee farmers in the regions of Oaxaca, Chiapas, Puebla Veracruz, Mexico. ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Concept development: Oromo is a coffee experience that brings craftsmanship to every cup and acknowledges the work and live of hard working coffee farmers. ! Business Model: Oromo operates under the triple button line principal: profit, profit and planet. ! Market opportunity: Coffee consumption in Mexico is expected to grow 34% in the next 5 years. ! Tero is an inner city, same day delivery service platform catering to both business and private clients in Mexico City and other major Latin American cities. !Established as a graduate venture team project in the MBA in Design Strategy at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco, California, the business focuses in offering a seamless, easy, reliable and fast delivery experience for users in large, hectic and unorganized Latin American cities. !Opportunity: - 400,000 tons of goods are moved every year in Mexico City. - Fragmented and low scale courier alternatives lack scaling systems that deliver a safer and reliable experience for both couriers and users. !User Research Ethnographic and prototyping trip to Mexico City. Stakeholders: - Taxi drivers - Bike messengers - Small business owners - E-commerce - Restaurant owners !Project deliverables: - Business plan with 18 month execution roadmap and financials. - Investors pitch deck. - Test Required Documents for minimum viable product and first generation !
