  • 1 SATURDAY ARRIVAL –SAN JOSE Arrival to the Juan Santamaria International Airport. Welcome and transportation to your hotel located in the outskirts of the city. Rest of the afternoon to get acquainted with the city and for our orientation and welcome dinner. WELCOME DAY 1 & 2 You can also look for us in Facebook: Ticoadventures Cr SUNDAY POAS VOLCANO NATIONAL PARK AND LA PAZ WATERFALL GARDENS Early breakfast and 7:00am departure for a great day where a lot of Costa Rica is seen. Departing towards the mountains of the Central Valley with wonderful views of the coffee and ornamental plants plantations towards the Poas Volcano National Park. An active volcano with fumarole activity,The COCONUT tour the Poas has a superb dwarf cloud forest and one of the largest craters in Costa Rica the world. After visiting the crater and a hike up to Botos Lake; Continuation towards La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a great place with 5 waterfalls, the biggest butterfly farm in the country and tons of hummingbirds; Buffet lunch. On our return trip to San Jose we will stop to visit the coffee plantations and take pictures of the views. Arrival to the city around 4:00pm.
  • MONDAYWHITE WATER RAFTING - SARAPIQUIThe Pacuare is the quintessential tropical river. Along its course lie severaldensely vegetated gorges with virgin rain forest and one of the bestwhitewater in all of Central America, ranging up to Class V in difficulty. Thelowland tropical forest here is remarkable for its luxuriant variety and theamazing abundance and diversity of wildlife found within it. Amazing day toremember forever! Transportation at the end of the river towards ourSarapiqui location, our destination, La Selva, comprising 3,900 acres oftropical wet forests, one of the most important sites in the world for researchon tropical rain forest. 2 DAY 3 & 4TUESDAYSARAPIQUI – GUIDED FOREST HIKE AT LA SELVA – TORTUGUEROPrivate two hour guided walk scheduled at 6:00am. Excellent bilingualnaturalists lead the walks that give a glimpse of the leading-edge researchconducted at La Selva as well as the Natural History of the Tropical RainForest. Our transportation will pick us up around 9am towards the NorthCaribbean little Amazon of Costa Rica driving by banana plantations up toCaño Blanco. Unbelievable boat ride through the Tortuguero canals arrivingbetween 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. At the lodge our staff will be waiting with a The COCONUT tourrefreshing cocktail, and the guide will explain the afternoon activities after Costa Ricalunch -the visit to the Turtle Museum and to the colorful Tortuguero town.Free time to enjoy the pool, the bar service and prepare for your dinner.Dinner service and rest of the evening to enjoy the surroundings, pool andbar. As an optional tour you can do the turtle tour at night with the localguide.
  • 3 WEDNESDAY TORTUGUERO – MORNING AND AFTERNOON NATURE BOAT TOUR Optional 6:15 am tour to admire the awakening of the wildlife. Return for breakfast (service between 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.). Then another boat tour to admire the canals of Tortuguero National Park. This is a wonderful and interesting experience where you can see abundant flora and fauna of Tortuguero National Park. Return to the lodge for lunch and free time for a siesta, enjoy the pool or go for a walk to the beach. Then you have another optional tour to the canals or stay at the lodge to explore the private trails of the lodge, visit the open butterfly garden or simply enjoy the pool. Dinner at the lodge. DAY 5 & 6 THURSDAY TORTUGUERO - CAHUITA After breakfast we will begin our trip back at around 9:00 a.m. The boat will arrive at Caño Blanco around 11:00 a.m. There our bus will drive us directly to Cahuita at the South Caribbean Coast, a unique area, completelyThe COCONUT tour universal in it’s ethnicity and culture.
