  • Web 2.0 World<br />This information is designed to provide teachers with a directory of free web tools along with some suggestions as to how they may be used. This week’s topic is: Free P.D. Resources.<br />The following websites offer a variety of online, anytime, anywhere professional development opportunities.<br />
    • ALPShttp://learnWeb.harvard.edu/alps/home provides many ways for teachers to learn about, engage with, create and collaborate on different approaches to teaching and learning.
    • ANNENBERG/CPB http://www.learner.org/resources/browse.html has two amazing resources. (Also http://www.learner.org/channel/workshops/workshop_list.html.) Video on demand for K-Adult is free whenever you see a VOD icon.
    • TEACHER TAP http://www.eduscapes.com/tap/ has free resources for teachers and librarians in the use of technology in teaching and learning.
    • TEACHER’S FIRST http://www.teachersfirst.com/howto.cfm has some how-to information.
    • THE TEACHER’S PODCAST http://teacherspodcast.org/ is hosted by Mark and Kathy. It is full of exciting and interesting resources.
    • THINKFINITY http://www.thinkfinity.org/pd/national_training.aspx# assists teachers to engage and enhance learning using their online resources. They offer various live webinars.
