Introduction
The project will provide the your management team with a financially

evaluated view of supply chain configuration options that can be deployed in
order to fulfil the your customer service requirement targets.
There will be a full assessment of the current situation and cost drivers in the

present operational business model. Identification of the sources and causes
of waste in the supply chain processes, both in terms of labour and materials.
A fully costed – ‘Model for Success’, based upon the SWS Virtual Hubbing
•
concept will be created.
The business case justification for the implementation of the Virtual Hubbing
•
model and the on-going operation will be created.
There will be a detailed implementation plan with roles and responsibilities
•
identified, showing the time commitment required from both SWS and your
personnel.
SWS will work with the your team to make a series of recommendations, with
•
the intention of moving quickly into an implementation phase.
Scope
The supply chain design will cover the entire your operating environment at
•
Your site. The design will cover all product including bought-In complete
items and will span from suppliers of materials and component items, through
the your owned manufacturing and assembly facilities and through the your
owned storage locations. The transport and handling arrangements at each
stage will be covered as part of the investigation.
The design will consider the organisational impact of the new supply chain
•
design options. This will be critical to the implementation of any agreed
strategy.
Approach
SWS will work with your employees on an as-required basis, in order to provide a
multi-skilled approach to the design work. The team once mobilised will work through
a number of defined work packages. These will include:
