  17. 17. Google search basics: Basic searchhelp Search is simple: just type whatever comes to mind in the search box, hit Enter or click the Search button, and Google will search the web for content thats relevant to your search.
  18. 18. Some basic facts Generally, all the words you put in the search box will be used. Search is always case insensitive. A search for [ zambales ] is the same as a search for [ZaMbAles ]. Generally, punctuation is ignored, including @#$%^&*()=+[] and other special characters.
  19. 19. Phrase search ("") By putting double quotes around a set of words, you are telling Google to consider the exact words in that exact order without any change.
  20. 20. Search within a specific website(site:) Google allows you to specify that your search results must come from a given website.
  21. 21. Terms you want to exclude (-) If your search term has more than one meaning you can focus your search by putting a minus sign ("-") in front of words related to the meaning you want to avoid.
  22. 22. Terms you want to include (+) If youre searching for information on a topic in which some terms are particularly critical, you can add a plus (+) sign to that word or those words in your search
