    It is how much you value yourself and how important you think you are
    It is not about thinking you're perfect — because nobody is — but knowing that you are worthy of being loved and accepted

    always been a human
    need
    But in this day and
    age, high self esteem
    has been directly
    linked with success
  • 6. If you struggle with low self-esteem and feelings of inadequacy, these are some suggestions to gain self confidence and increased self-esteem
  • 7. Step 1. Put in writing
    Write a list of your top 7 qualities; these are what make you unique
    Carry these around with you every day and read them to remind yourself who you are and what makes you special
  • 8. Step 2. Do not put yourself down
    When you hear negative comments in your head, tell yourself to stop
    Don't apologise before or after you talk to someone about something as this takes away any strength from youDon't apologise for yourself, be strong and assertive
  • 9. Step 3. Accept compliment
    Being able to accept, believe and feel good about accepting compliments is crucial to cultivating a high self-confidence
    If someone pays you a compliment, smile and give them a big thank you
  • 10. Step 4. Get out of your comfort zone

    Say your positive affirmations out loud while looking in the mirror as this makes them stronger because you are connecting with yourself
