    • 1. Install Net-SNMP in OpManager installed server.2. Use the Run Program notification profile (Admin->Notification Profile) and specify the following:Command Name: sendtrap.batProgram Arguments: [manager-name] $source $displayName$strModTime $category $severity $message
    • 3. Create a batch file "sendtrap.bat" under /opmanagerwhich invokes the snmptrap command. This file has to becreated on the OpManager server.The contents of this file would be like the one shownbelow:snmptrap -v 1 -c public %1 .1.3.6.7.2.1.3.1 %2 1 6 ’ .1.3.6.7.2.1.3.1.1.2 s %3,%4,%5,%6
    • SNMP TrapCommunity String Generic type number Specific OID: Can be defined as per your Enterprise OID: Can convenience be defined as per your conveniencesnmptrap -v 1 -c public %1 .1.3.6.7.2.1.3.1 %2 1 6 .1.3.6.7.2.1.3.1.1.2 s %3,%4,%5,%6 Host name/IP of the Specific type Host name/IP of the numbertrap manager that has Device for which an to receive the traps alarm is raised Message body: Can contain the following variables: $displayName – device’s display name, $strModTime – alarm generated time, $category – device category (Router, Server), $severity – Alarm severity (Critical, trouble), $message – alarm message (Threshold violated, service down)
