Large Scale Pilot Projects •  10.000 houses in São Paulo and 10.000 houses in Vitória (Brazil) – Smart Metering and Smart Grid large scale projects to increase market awareness, understand technologies and existing business models, and support policy recommendations. •  50.000 homes in Portugal – (Pilot for Energy Efficiency). Strategic Research Center on Energy Efficiency in Portugal. Municipalities of: Águeda, Cascais, Sintra and Palmela. •  10.000 houses in France – Smart Metering Energy Efficiency pilot project. Conclusions   Energy  Efficiency  and  Sustainability  Policies  implementa?on  require  the  consumer   behaviour  transforma?on  and  a  boSom-­‐up  support  from  ci?zens.  Living  Labs  provide  the   ideal  co-­‐crea?on  environment  for  these  developments.     Climate  Changes  Policies  and  low  CO2    strategies  can  be  accelerated  by  the  user   involvement  using  Living  Labs  methodologies.     SAVE  ENERGY  developed  the  Vision  towards  a  conceptual  framework.     Design  of  a  user-­‐driven  co-­‐crea?ve  methodology  was  applied  to  produce  the  pilot   requirements  and  specifica?ons  under  the  recommenda?ons  of  the  high  level   architecture.     Development  of  the  evalua?on  methodology  to  be  used  throughout  the  project  for   assessment  of  the  development  process  and  results  evalua?on.     Successful  design  of  energy  efficiency  market  presenta?ons  for  SME’s  and  suppor?ng   Energy  Efficiency  implementa?ons.     Development  of  the  SAVE  ENERGY  Community  external  to  the  Consor?um,  making  use  of   social  networks  and  Web  2.0  tools.     Proac?ve  par?cipa?on  in  several  public  events  in  Europe  and  beyond  on  Energy  Efficiency   technical  best  prac?ces  and  policy  impact.  15 Innovating 4 Development, Rome, 25-26 January 2011
