    • INTRODUCTIONThis presentation provides general information on the following aspectsof the client software for OpenEye DVRs:• Remote Center • Backup Viewer• Web Viewer • MDVR• Emergency Agent • Digital Signature VerifierEach slide contains some basic information on the purpose of thedescribed function and identifies the associated options.
    • INTRODUCTIONAll DVRs ship with a softwaredisk which contains a number ofuseful programs that can beinstalled on any workstation.These programs are providedfree of charge and can also bedownloaded fromwww.openeye.net.OpenEye Client Softwareapplications give you the abilityto remotely monitor andconfigure the DVR, receivenotifications of important events,play back archived video andverify the authenticity of exportedvideo clips and images.
    • WEB VIEWER
    • HVR/NVR WEB VIEWER IDVR WEB VIEWER The web viewer is the ideal way to connect to the DVR for anyone who only needs to view live cameras. It requires ActiveX and is compatible with Internet Explorer 6.0 and later.
    • E SERIES WEB VIEWER WEB VIEWER The E Series web viewer is an excellent client utility for anyone who does not need to enter setup. It is compatible with Internet Explorer 6.0 and later and automatically installs when connecting to the DVR.
    • E SERIES WEB VIEWER PTZ CONTROL Web Viewer offers the same PTZ control functionality as the DVR. Cameras can be fully controlled and programmed from a remote workstation.
    • E SERIES WEB VIEWER ADVANCED PTZ CONTROL Most users may only need to move a PTZ camera or start a tour. Tours and presets can only be selected after they have been programmed in the camera. The Advanced CAMERA MENU allows programming and customization of the selected PTZ camera.
    • E SERIES WEB VIEWER MAIN SEARCH The same search options available in Remote Center and Radius are available in the Web viewer, making it a powerful option for non- administrative users.
    • E SERIES WEB VIEWER STATUS SEARCH Status Search is an easy way to navigate through recorded video. It can be used in place of the slider bars and shows which cameras and time periods have recorded video.
    • E SERIES WEB VIEWER EXPORT OPTIONS Web Viewer offers data export in the form of still images or AVI files. While Radius must be used for backup in the proprietary format, these options result in easily accessible files that are watermarked.
    • E SERIES WEB VIEWER PRINTING In some cases it may be necessary to print a picture of an object or person of interest. Print directly from Web Viewer to a direct or network attached printer.
    • E SERIES WEB VIEWER PRINT PREVIEW A print preview is available with access to the printer’s driver settings.
    • REMOTE CENTER
    • REMOTE CENTER SITE INFO When launched, Remote Center initially displays the Local Setup window, which allows DVRs to be added to the connection list.
    • REMOTE CENTER SETUP To connect to a DVR already added, click the DVR icon, enter the User Name and Password then click Connect.
    • REMOTE CENTER REMOTE SETUP The Configuration tab in Local Setup allows changes to the configuration of Remote Center. These settings do not typically need to be modified.
    • REMOTE CENTER REMOTE CENTER FEATURES This software is intended for applications where a single DVR needs to be monitored.
    • REMOTE CENTER SENSORS & RELAYS OpenEye DVRs feature sensor inputs and relay outputs to allow advanced integration with other facility systems. These can be monitored and controlled using the Remote Center software.
    • LIVE DISPLAY PAN/TILT CONTROL Remote Center offers the same PTZ control functionality as the DVR Server software. Cameras can be fully controlled and programmed from a remote workstation.

    • DEVICE MANAGEMENT OE3 E SERIES SETUP As with all OpenEye recorders, the OE3 E-Series DVR can be managed via Remote Center. The remote configuration interface is designed to look almost identical to the interface at the DVR to help ensure easier management.
    • REMOTE CENTER SEARCH There are several different types of searches that can be performed in Remote Center. The most basic involves selecting the date, the time, the camera, and clicking play.
    • REMOTE CENTER STATUS SEARCH Status Search is an easy way to navigate through recorded video. It can be used in place of the slider bars and shows which cameras and time periods have recorded video.

    • REMOTE CENTER HVR/NVR INDEX SEARCH Index Search offers a quick method to search for several types of events. Once located, the event can be applied to the Main Search.
    • REMOTE CENTER INDEX SEARCH Once the results of the Index Search are displayed, any search result can be easily reviewed by selecting it in the list.
    • REMOTE CENTER EXPORT OPTIONS Remote Center offers data export in the form of still images or AVI files. While Radius must be used for backup in the proprietary format, these options result in easily accessible files that are watermarked.
    • REMOTE CENTER PRINTING In some cases it may be necessary to print a picture of an object or person of interest. Print directly from Remote Center to a direct or network attached printer.
    • REMOTE CENTER PRINT PAGE OPTIONS A custom memo can be added when printing. Be sure to select the correct page size before sending the image to the printer.
    • MAC VIEWER
    • MAC VIEWER MAC VIEWER Mac Viewer is an application that allows live monitoring and playback of OE3 E-Series recorders as well as HVRs and NVRs on the OS X platform.
    • MAC VIEWER MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS The Mac Viewer will run on most newer Apple computers, but it is important to verify that the computer meets the minimum system requirements.
    • MAC VIEWER ADDING A DVR Adding a DVR is simple and similar in function to the Windows based Remote Center software. After adding the DVR, connect by selecting the name and clicking Connect.
    • MAC VIEWER LIVE VIEW Individual cameras can be viewed by double- clicking. Depending on the DVR model, screen divisions of 4, 9 and 16 are also available.
    • MAC VIEWER PTZ CONTROL Basic PTZ control is possible by clicking on a channel configured for PTZ control then clicking the Pan/Tilt button.
    • MAC VIEWER IMAGE EXPORT A picture of any live camera view can be saved by using the Export button. The resulting JPG file can be viewed on any computer.
    • MAC VIEWER SEARCH Single or multiple channels can be played back on the connected DVR on any date that contains recorded data. Video can be played forward and in reverse, and a speed control adjustment is available.
    • EMERGENCY AGENT
    • EMERGENCY AGENT SETUP The Emergency Agent software is designed to manage incoming alarms from remote DVRs. The DVR will transmit a segment of video with the alarm, so that the video remains available even if the DVR becomes unavailable.
    • EMERGENCY AGENT MONITOR Alarm information from any properly configured DVR will immediately appear on the Emergency Agent Monitor screen when the event occurs. If Emergency Agent is minimized, a popup message will appear alerting the operator that there is an alarm which may require attention.
    • EMERGENCY AGENT SEARCH Double-click an alarm in the notification list to launch the Search Alarm window. This window will allow the associated video clip to be played back. In addition, the alarm can be marked for review or dismissal. Access to the Export function is also available.
    • EMERGENCY AGENT EXPORT Emergency Agent offers several easy backup options. The JPEG backup option will save a single still picture to selected media. AVI backup allows clips to be exported in a standard video format.
    • BACKUP VIEWER
    • HVR/NVR BACKUP VIEWER MAIN SCREEN All Backed Up Video is encrypted and must be viewed using either the DVR or the Backup Viewer software. All Search features of the DVR including JPG and AVI backup are available in the Backup Viewer.
    • HVR/NVR BACKUP VIEWER LOCATE VIDEO After launching Backup Viewer, click OPEN to locate archived video to play back. Several options exist to make it easy to locate the desired video.
    • HVR/NVR BACKUP VIEWER OBJECT SEARCH Object Search (also known as Museum Search) allows an advanced search in a specific area of the picture for motion. This function can be extremely valuable in determining when an event in a specific area may have occurred.
    • HVR/NVR BACKUP VIEWER OBJECT SEARCH PARAMETERS Several options in object search can help reduce the number of irrelevant results. These options can be adjusted after clicking the START SEARCH button.
    • HVR/NVR BACKUP VIEWER OBJECT SEARCH RESULTS Object Search results will be displayed on the right. Browse these results to locate the start of an event. If the desired picture is found, the result can be applied to the main search for more advanced playback.

    • HVR/NVR BACKUP VIEWER PRINTING In some cases it may be necessary to print a picture of an object or person of interest. Print directly from the Backup Viewer to a direct or network attached printer.
    • HVR/NVR BACKUP VIEWER PRINT PREFERENCES As with most applications that support printing, a print preview is available and access to the printer’s driver settings.
    • OE2-E120/E480 BACKUP VIEWER PLAYBACK The Backup Viewer is included with all backups, and offers search and export functionality when reviewing archived data.
    • OE2-E120/E480 BACKUP VIEWER EXPORT Backup Viewer offers data export in the form of still images or AVI files. These options result in easily accessible files that are watermarked.
    • OE3 E-SERIES BACKUP VIEWER PLAYBACK The Backup Viewer is included with all backups, and offers search and export functionality when reviewing archived data.
    • OE3 E-SERIES BACKUP VIEWER EXPORT AVI Backup Viewer offers data export in the form of AVI files. AVI files are a standard format that can be played on nearly any operating system without any custom software. A watermark is included to prevent file tampering.
    • OE3 E-SERIES BACKUP VIEWER OTHER FUNCTIONS Backup Viewer includes a number of functions that allow various ways to view and export the video. Move the mouse over any icon and text will appear with a description of what that button is for.

    • MOBILE REMOTE VIEWER MDVR The MDVR Software allows remote connection to DVRs using any mobile device with a supported operating system.
