  3. 3. How To Begin? <br />
  4. 4. <ul><li>For instructions to setup your computer please refer to your “HP – Begin Here” guide (fold out poster)Including power connections, buttons, plugs, computer care
  5. 5. Turn your computer on
  6. 6. Connect to the Internet Call your internet service provider for help on how to connect your computer to the internet.</li></li></ul><li>Registering with ontario tutors inc.<br />
  7. 7. <ul><li>Open a web browser and go to
  8. 8. On the front page click this icon:
  9. 9. This will take you to a Registration page that looks like:
  10. 10. For first time users</li></ul> you will need to <br /> register with us to <br /> receive a username <br /> and password.<br /><ul><li>Click on the</li></ul> Register tab at the <br /> Top of the screen.<br />
  11. 11. Finishing the registration<br />
  12. 12. <ul><li>Fill out all your personal information in the fields.
  13. 13. At the end an email is sent to you with your username and password information in it.</li></li></ul><li>Log In and register for individual sessions<br />

  15. 15. You will need to log in:</li></ul>and then register for the<br />session you wish to join.<br /><ul><li>After you login you see</li></ul>a page that looks like:<br />
  16. 16. register for individual sessions<br />
  17. 17. <ul><li>Click on the ‘Register’ tab on the side of the page.
  18. 18. Choose from the list of courses the one you would like to take and click the ‘Register’ button.
  19. 19. This will put your course in the My sessions page that looks like:
  20. 20. An email will be sent with the link to your class.</li></li></ul><li>Setting Your audio connection!<br />
  21. 21. <ul><li>You will be prompted to choose your audio connection. Plug in your headset.
  22. 22. Click ‘Use Computer Headset’, then ‘Call Using Computer’ (bottom of the box)</li></li></ul><li>microphone TOOLS<br />
  23. 23. Close Button<br /><ul><li>Set your microphone and speaker volumes, then close the box by clicking the X in the upper right of the Volume box)

  25. 25. How to mute?<br />
  26. 26. To mute your microphone: Click on your name: Press ‘Mute’ button<br /> You are muted when a red X shows inside you headphone<br /> Press ‘Unmute’ to activate your microphone again<br />
  27. 27. Sending video<br />
  28. 28. <ul><li>To send Video:</li></ul>Click ‘Video’ in the top right corner of the screen (active when the background is blue)<br />A video panel opens at the bottom of the page<br />Click ‘Send Video’ (top left of the Video section)<br />
  29. 29. USB Headset Connection & Switching between headset & speakers<br />
  30. 30. <ul><li>Note: Do not follow these steps if your headset connection is working fine.</li></ul> If you are using your computer speakers and want to change to a USB headset you will have to use Audio Setup Wizard to switch between devices:<br /><ul><li> Click Audio from top toolbar
  31. 31. Choose Join Audio Conference and Leave Audio Conference</li></li></ul><li>Switching headset & speakers<br />
  32. 32. <ul><li>Click Yes when asked do you want to leave
  33. 33. Plug in your headset now if you are switching from speakers to headset
  34. 34. Go back to Audio and choose Audio Setup Wizard
  35. 35. Do not close this box</li></li></ul><li>Continued …<br />
  36. 36. <ul><li>Click Next on the first screen
  37. 37. On the second screen, use the dropdown boxes beside ‘Preferred recording device’ and ‘Preferred playback device’ to select the USB Headset</li></ul>Click the arrow to see a list of options, and then click the one you want (USB Headset).<br />Repeat with preferred playback device.<br />Note: If your headset is not plugged in you will only see one option<br />

  40. 40. Click ‘Call Using Computer’ on the Audio Conference screen (if you closed this screen earlier, click Audio then Join Audio Conference to get it back)</li></li></ul><li>Knowing you are connected <br />
