    • Telenor Pakistan today is the fastest growing network in the country with a rich portfolio of products and services.
    • Founded in 1855 as a provider of telegraph services
    • Among the top 10 mobile operators in the world

  • 5. HISTORY:
      • Telenor Pakistan launched its operations in March 2005 as the single largest direct European investment in Pakistan
      • We are spread across Pakistan, creating 2,500 direct and 25,000-plus indirect employment opportunities. We have a network of 23 company-owned sales and service centers, more than 200 franchisees and some 100,000 retail outlets.

    • Maintain or improve voice market share and further develop data positions in our existing markets.

  • 8. Hierarchy of Leadership in Telenor Pakistan
    • Telenor Pakistan, the country’s fastest growing mobile operator, announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Jon Eddy Abdullah as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He will succeed Mr. Tore Johnsen from 15 August, 2008.
  • 9. Chain of Command:
    • The CEO of Telenor Pakistan, Jon Eddy Abdullah directs the Regional Director and then the orders are follows by Regional Manager, and then its Regional manager’s job to direct Territory Sales Supervisor .Territory Sales Supervisor’s work is to look after 3 to 4 franchises of the city that what are their needs and requirements, they also look after the needs and requirements of the customer and try their best to fulfill their needs.
  • 10. Leadership Style
    • In the upper management (Regional) the style of leadership is autocratic and laissez-faire whereas, in franchises the leadership style which they follow is autocratic.

    • No doubt that money transfer facility was first introduced by MCB (Muslims Commercial Bank) but was miserably failed due to some major drawbacks, Which had Most of the time failed of transactions with no notifications to either of the clients ,they were teething problems and the service was most of the time were very irritating. But Telenor were already working on this framework and they very effectively and efficiently worked on the drawbacks that MCB faced and hence became the leader of money transfer facility in market. They named there, this facility as “EASY PAISA”.
