May 10-30, we will be on the road participating in several
ministry opportunities. We will drive to Tulsa, OK where
Penny’s mom will pick up the children, then on to
Wichita, KS to do street evangelism during the Wichita
Riverfest and to speak in a local church. This year, we
will be mentoring local church members in evangelism
during the festival. The best news is that Penny will be
with me hitting the streets – a rare treat!
After that, we will travel to Abilene, TX to be with
Penny’s family for a few days and to meet with harvest
partners. From there, we will go to the Dallas/Fort Worth area to meet with harvest partners and
participate in several ministry opportunities. Then back to NC. All total, approximately 3700
miles of driving. We will be sharing the gospel as we go through tract distribution.
I am working right now to settle all of the details of our itinerary. Please be in prayer for the
planning of this ministry road trip. If you are in our path, let us know how we can help you or
your church. Also, be in prayer for our safe travel and for our ministry vehicle. We will be
driving the Buick which only has 149,000 miles as compared to our van which is getting close
to 200,000 miles. Also, pray for the children while we travel. Jeremy has done this kind of long
distance travel before, but Rebekah has not. And her temperament is totally different that
Jeremy’s (strong-willed.)
To complete this mission tour, we need to raise $2751 for our expenses. That covers fuel, food,
4 nights of lodging, tracts and supplies and ministry support. Much of our food and lodging will
be covered by family and friends as we travel. But we need to be prepared for those
contingencies and to have a small emergency fund in case of car breakdown.
