  5. 5. Come with focus If we clear our minds and focus on being truly present when we go tho the Gemba, we willsee and recognize what we otherwise will miss.
  6. 6. Come with respectWithout respect we will never see the real Gemba. People sense how we feel about them and their work. We must come with and show respect.
  7. 7. Come with awareness Awareness is recognizing what is happening around us, making connections, andunderstanding the relationships that exist. We canremind ourselves to be aware of our surroundings.
  8. 8. Come with meeknessMeekness is gentleness with knowledge. We need others to share and teach us. This enhances ourknowledge and allow us to see things as the really are and not how we expected them to be.
  9. 9. Come with effortOur efforts will be rewarded. Gemba walkingis not easy. We must work to learn to see andto be patient in our efforts to build trust and to learn what is happening and find root cause.
