    • Malawians use kwacha as their currency instead of pounds. They also buy from different countries and sell the item in Malawi’s cities.This is one hundred kwacha.
    • This is ten kwacha.
  • 3. Lake Malawi
    • Did you know that the lake Malawi is over 118,000km? Lake Malawi has more species of fish than any other inland body of water in the world. Lake Malawi is also know as Lake Nyasa.
  • 4. People In Malawi people are warm hearted. This means that they are warm and friendly. Women wear special beads with a special meaning. Red –warrior/ blood White-peace blue-water Green-grass /land
  • 5. Cities
    • The capital city is Lilongwe . The largest city is Blantyre and the second largest Mzuzu
  • 6. Climate
    • Malawi climate is hot in the low lying areas and in the south of the country
    • It is temperate in the northern highlands.
  • 7. Language
    • In Malawi the official languages which are spoken are English and Chewa.
  • 8. Music
    • Most tribes have their individual songs.
    • Bangwe, Sansi and Kaligo are common musical instruments played in Malawi.
