  • Slovakia is a small country in Central Europe, where live 5.5 million people. It is divided into several smaller regions.
  • In the past, each region in Slovakia,his typical costume, dialect and national costums and folk songs.
  • The clothes lost. the medieval uniformity and differentiation started according to the various regions, estates, parishes, the manner of work and earning one`s livelihood.
  • The folk costume, which varied accordingto a country, region, estate, locality, natural condition, and social composition of the population, had a more conservative tendency.
  • Many Slovak folk songs are very rhythmic, dance, some are sad,and vice versa are talking about love between people, disappointments, the love of their homeland, the beauty or entertainment.
