  2. 2. The sun isn´t a planet .It is a star at the center of the solar system .It former 5 billions ago from a clouds of gas and dust. The sun´s diameter is 1.392.000 kilometres. It is much bigger than the Earth. SUN
  3. 3. MERCURY Some planets take a short time to go around the sun. Mercury orbits the sun the fastest. It only takes 88 days to go around the sun
  4. 4. VENUS Venus is the second planet of the solar system. We can sometimes see Venus from the Eart. It is 107 million kilometers away from the sun.
  5. 5. THE EARTH We live on the Earth. The Earth is a planet. It has got air, we can breathe. 71% of our planet is water. From space, the Earth looks like a blue ball. The Earth is 149 million kilometers away from the sun. It takes one year to go around the sun. .
  6. 6. MARS Mars is a very exciting planet. It is called the Red Planet, because it has got lots of red rocks. Mars is 228 million kilometers away from the sun. .
  7. 7. JUPITER Jupiter is the bigest planet. It is much bigger than the Earth. It is diameter is 142,984 kilometers. Jupiter is 777 million kilometers away from the sun.
  8. 8. SATURN Saturn is the sixth planet from the sun. It is the second biggest planet. Saturn has got beatuful rings made of ice and rocks. It is 1,245 million kilometers away from the sun.
  9. 9. URANUS Uranus is the seventh planet of the solar system. It is 2,864 million kilometers away from the sun.
  10. 10. NEPTUNE Neptune is the eighth planet of the solar system. It is 2,864 million kilometers away from the sun.
  11. 11. PLUTO Pluto is the nineth planet of the solar system. It is the smallest planet. Some scientist think Pluto isn´t a planet because it is so small. It is 2,864 million kilometers away from the sun.
