The objective of UP-TO-US is to create a prototype of platform that allows the personalization of IPTV services through the adaptation of contents to the user context and their preferences, for the whole european union. UP-TO-US is an european project with a big consortium that studies the potentialities of IPTV for entertainment, business, education, etc. The project will finish by February, 2013 and the UOC is participating through the desing and testing of use cases of IPTV for e-learning.

SIX.  Tasks in the project Office of Learning Technologies · learningtechnologies.uoc.edu 1 UNIVERSITAT OBERTA DE CATALUNYA WP1 Project Management WP2 Use-cases, User Requirements and System Architecture Provides the user needs and requirements through different interaction with end-users, gives a concrete definition for the selected user-cases and provides the whole project architecture.  WP3 Context-Aware IPTV Will provide a context-aware module capable of monitoring and gathering in a continuous manner the users and environment contexts and input them to the IPTV system.  WP4 Personalized Service Delivery Deals with dynamically constructing and updating users profiles through modelling users’ IPTV Lifestyle which is a characteristic bundle of behaviours that makes sense to both others and oneself in a given time and place. WP5 Platform Integration and Demonstration Will integrate the prototypes developed in WP3 and WP4 on an IPTV/IMS platform following the defined system architecture in WP2 and demonstrating the defined use-cases.  WP6 Standardization and Dissemination Will deal with the visible output of the project, for example, in terms of contribution to standardization organisms, workshops, publications, and presentations.
