Hisoriginal name was Józef Teodor Konrad Korzeniowski but he changed his name whenhe lived in England because the first one was very complicated to pronounce.Joseph Conrad became orphan when he was eleven years old. Later he lived with hisuncle but tl seventeen, he went to Marseille and he started to work as a sailor. In his lotsof journey, Conrad visited Far East, Oceania, Middle America and like a captain ofsteamboat he did a trip in Congo. In 1894 he stopped his life as a sailor and he began towriting.
