  • Hi there everyone, and welcome to my Personal Development, Health and Physical Education Presentation. My name is Olivia and I am a second year Charles Sturt University Student. I am currently studying my Bachelor of Education birth to primary years. I am thoroughly enjoying this course, and am excited for my future endeavors as a teacher.
  • Questions to consider: What does s/he look like? (dress, accessories, body type) How does s/he act? (what might s/he be doing, posture, interacting with others) What are the types of things that s/he might be saying to the learners? (give me 10 Push ups, where’s your excuse note, welcome to today’s lesson) What skills/abilities does s/he have? What knowledge does s/he have? What activities/movements might s/he be requiring her/his learners to do?
  • Questions to consider: What value/non-value do you believe PDHPE has for Primary Education Settings? If you were to compare yourself to the The PDHPE Educator in the previous section, how would you compare? How do you feel about teaching PE in the K-6 context? What do you believe teachers need to know and be able to do to confidently teach PDHPE? Provide justification for these attributes.

You will focus your reflection on areas including: •a. descriptions of personal experiences Physical Education, physical activity, play, sport and health education; •b. key influences in your life, along with changes and choices; Questions to consider: What types of physical activity did you participate in? Why did you choose these activities? Consider who/what most influenced your non/participation in physical activity? Did your choice of physical activity change with age? Consider reasons as to why or why not.
