But she’s about to meet someone whowill make her lose control....It has always been up to Johanna to care for her family, particularly her youngerbrother, Cole. With an absent father and a useless mother, she’s been makingdecisions based on what’s best for Cole for as long as she can remember. Sheeven determines what men to date by how much they can provide for herbrother and her, not on whatever sparks may—or may not—fly.
    • But with Cameron MacCabe, the attraction is undeniable. The sexy newbartender at work gives her butterflies every time she looks at him. And foronce, Jo is tempted to put her needs first. Cam is just as obsessed with gettingto know Jo, but her walls are too solid to let him get close enough to even try. Then Cam moves into the flat below Jo’s, and their blistering connectionbecomes impossible to ignore. Especially since Cam is determined to uncover allof Jo’s secrets … even if it means taking apart her defenses piece by piece.ReviewsLadies, Ladies, Ladies… prepare yourself to be wooed and wowed and awed bythis bloody fantastic story that made me laugh, cry, smile, and kick my feet inthe air I was so delightfully happy!Johanna “Jo” Walker has been dating her much older boyfriend for almost threemonths. He’s the perfect guy for her - kind, charming, laid-back, and wealthy. And most people would call him her sugar daddy. Jo accompanies Malcom oneevening to an art show gallery, where a friend of his is displaying her art. As Jois walking around, looking at the atrocious artwork, her eyes instantly fall on atall, gorgeous guy who has dark blond messy hair and a sexy body with tattooson his arms. The moment their gazes meet, there is an instant, electric sparkbetween them. Jo is stunned by her reaction to this man since he is unlike anyman she would normally go for. His clothing isn’t sophisticated and he doesn’tscream wealth. But even with the obvious attraction between them, when Jo formally meetsCameron “Cam” MacCabe, they immediately butt heads. Cam throws down thegauntlet, thinking he has Jo all figured out, accusing her of being a money-grubbing bimbo. Yet, even with the tension between them, Jo agrees to helpCam get a job at the bar where she works. And when Cam begins his newbartending position, Jo soon finds out getting him the job might’ve been a reallybad idea, since she can’t seem to ignore her attraction towards Cam and sexythoughts of him begin to infiltrate her mind and body. No matter how hard Joadamantly denies the attraction she has towards Cam, it’s just too hard to avoidthe intense chemistry or the butterflies she feels when she’s in the same vicinityas him.
    • I’d never felt so intensely attracted to someone before. Usually, it took me awhile to get to know a guy before I felt that kind of deep tingling in all of mygood-for-nothing places.Behind Jo’s façade lies a broken woman and home life. Jo has had to learn torely on herself since she was a kid. With an alcoholic mother and an absenteefather, she’s been raising her little brother, Cole, for most of his life. Her solemission is to protect Cole and give him a solid future, where they don’t have toworry about money, losing their home, wondering where their next meal willcome from, and their alcoholic mother. Jo and Cole may be sister and brother, but Jo is more like Cole’s mum. Her determination to make sure Cole is takencare of, unfortunately, comes with the reputation of being a gold digger. But,truthfully, underneath it all, she’s a loving and caring sister only trying to giveher brother a good life, and will do just about anything to make sure they’re safeand secure.Once the misunderstandings between Cam and Jo simmer down and are put torest, Cam began to see Jo for who she truly is. They form a close friendshipwhere Cam eventually earns Jo’s trust and slowly peels back the layers thatmake up this woman. But even though they are simply friends, there is still a lotof unspoken sexual tension hovering on the surface. It’s just a matter of timebefore this sexual tension combusts and they give into each other.I really admire our misunderstood heroine. Jo’s a survivor, who is doing her bestto keep from drowning in her struggles. And the way she protects and lovesCole, when their parents failed miserably, is beautiful and extremely courageous. But Jo has always been alone while dealing with her struggles. She never feltlike she could be herself, always wearing a mask to hide who she is. And she’snever shared her issues with anyone. That is, until Cam came along. Cam isexactly what Jo needs in her life - a lover, a friend, a companion, whounderstands and accepts everything about her. With Cam, she didn’t have tofake it, she could set herself free."You know, the world will always try to make you into who it wants you to be.People, time, events, theyll all try to carve away at you and make you think youdont know who you are. But it doesnt matter who they try to make you or whatname they try to give you. If you stay true, you can chip off all theirmachinations and youre still you underneath it all."
    • There is something about a Scottish hero that makes me weak in the knees.Sigh. I love this passionate and protective man. He’s funny, sweet, and quickwith the witty remarks. I had this sudden intense need to claim Cam for myselffrom the moment he walked onto the pages. And the fact that he’s just asbeautiful on the inside as he is on the outside, only strengthens the adoringfeelings I have for him. I love how honest and raw Cam is. He doesn’t let Jo runfrom him. He brings out the fire in Jo she’s always hidden underneath her mask.Cam makes her face everything head on. And, once he decided it was time toclaim her, he made it very clear that he wanted all of her, or nothing at all.I absolutely adored Cam and Jo right from the start, even though they startedoff on the wrong foot. With any new romance, there will be problems and issuesthey will to work through. And there is definitely some drama, angst, andjealousy. This story is a little bit more serious and darker than the first book dueto the topics addressed in this story. But, even with the bad, there is definitely alot of good.I love the flirtatious, witty banter between Jo and Cam. And the sexual tension…oh my panties. When these two could no longer keep the uncontrollable sexualenergy and their feelings at bay, they come crashing together. It was HOT HOTHOT. Samantha Young definitely knows how to write wickedly sexy scenes thatheat up the sheets.“Cam,” I whispered, wanting him to pull away and needing him to never leave. He groaned and gently slid his forehead down the side of mine, his noseskimming my cheek, following my jaw, and coming to rest in a nuzzle againstmy throat.I held my breath, waiting. His hot lips touched the skin there. One brush. Two.And then I felt the wet, hot erotic touch of tongue and I shuddered, fallingagainst him.Oh yes, ladies.… Cam and Jo are SO deliciously HOT together! This series has a great cast of characters including Cole, Braden’s family, Adam,Braden, and Joss. I thought I would be sad about not having another Braden andJoss book, but Jo and Cam were just as amazing characters. We do, however,
    • get a lot of page time with Braden and Joss. And I really did enjoy every sexymoment I got to spend with Braden.Stellar is the first word that comes to mind when I think about Down LondonRoad. Simply stunning are the next two words. This book will leave an emotionalimpact on you and you will be wowed by the romance. There is no doubt in mymind that Samantha Young has become one of my favorite contemporaryromance authors. I LOVE LOVE LOVE her writing. I have a feeling I know whothe next couple is, and I’m very excited to read their story!Rating: A+Heat: HotOh my stars!!! Down London Road was sheer perfection!! My heart is soaringafter turning the last page!! It had everything I love and want in a romance, andmore!! Longing , sexual tension, panty-melting scenes, sweet and tender love!!Family, friendship, and loyalty are all within the pages. I LOVED EVERY BIT!! Iprobably should warn you, this review will contain gushing. Lots of gushing! So it took me a minute to figure out who Johanna Walker was. Remember thegorgeous gold digger who worked with Joss at Club 39? Yep, that’s her. Butshe’s not what we thought she was, and in the time between stories Joss hasdiscovered this too, becoming an important and close friend. So, that’s a yes toanyone wondering if Joss and Braden show up in here: YES!! And quite a lot,and it was lovely!!Anyways, back to the story. Jo does have the reputation of dating men who havea lot of money. She’s not a gold digger per se, but she wants to find someonewho will provide security for her and her fourteen year old brother, Cole. Foryears Jo has been the sole provider for their family, their mother being a raging,non-functioning drunk. She only pokes her head out of the bedroom if shecomes up short on gin or to mutter a well placed verbal stab to Jo or Cole. However bad her mother is, her father was a hundred times worse. Thankfully,he’s out of their lives but not before inflicting serious damage to Johanna’s self-esteem. So, Jo does date nice rich men, and she masks her true personality tomake sure she’s the perfect girlfriend.
    • Enter Cam; he appears to be the opposite of safe. He’s good-looking, tattooed;cocky with an attitude. He has lust in his eyes for Johanna when he first seesher, then contempt when he sees her with Malcolm, her boyfriend. He assumesshe’s just into Malcolm for his money and tells her so, getting off on a very badfoot. However, Jo does care for Malcolm, and he is everything Jo feels she needsto have a happy and secure future. So, she ignores her immediate physicalattraction to Cam, and stays with Malcolm. This becomes increasingly hard whenCam starts work as a bartender for Club 39 with Jo and Joss. You know where this is going. Let me assure those out there, like me, whodetest cheating stories. This isn’t one of them. What we do get is a friendshipformed between Cam and Jo that builds into a slow, hot, burning desire! Thehottest relationships start with the mind and emotions, and then turn intomore!! They are my favorite type of romance to read about, and I LOVED thisone!!“Cam,” I whispered, wanting him to pull away and needing him to never leave. He groaned and gently slid his forehead down the side of mine, his noseskimming my cheek, following my jaw, and coming to rest in a nuzzle againstmy throat.I held my breath, waiting. His hot lips touched the skin there. One brush. Two.And then I felt the wet, hot erotic touch of tongue and I shuddered, fallingagainst him.Oh, the delicious buildup!!Did I mention the HOT factor? Any who read On Dublin Street knows thatSamantha Young can write scenes that could make you spontaneously combust!!There really should be a safety warning: READ BY OPEN FREEZER.This romance is not without some angst, and exciting drama. Cam and Jo areinvolved with other people when they first meet, so this is not an easy breezyroad, at first. Plus, Jo’s insecurities plague on her mind which are not helped byan old girlfriend popping up! There were a few scenes that made me gasp fromstabbing hurt I felt for Jo!! But for the majority of this story, I wore a stupidblissful grin. *happy, happy, sigh*
    • And now I get to the WORST part: I finished the story and now I have to wait forSamantha to write another!!!! *sobs*To download now please click the link below.http://amzn.to/18G2cjw
