      • To produce e-content improving the way students learn and teachers teach is harder than expected: it requires a combination of expertise and competences.

      • To channel the expertise required to enhance the quality of eContent in mathematics.

Mission of JEM Foster and extend the multicultural and multilingual use of semantic markup for mathematics in the e-learning community Monitor learning technologies so that mathematical content can be integrated and delivered by state-of-the-art and leading systems Structure, coordinate and support the user and authoring community of e-learning in mathematics.       • New partners to join JEM must have demonstrated excellence in developing and/or using one or more of the following:
        • eContent in education in sciences
        • relevant technology for e-Learning
        • theoretical background empowering new and innovative ways to use technology in education.
      • Preference will be given to organizations from countries not yet represented within the network.

        • countries covered in any JEM event
        • relevant events where JEM is represented
        • events where JEM results have been presented
        • stakeholders informed about JEM and its results
      • Take-up of any standards/common practice promoted by JEM
