  • What is 3D Animation Software? Computer graphic imagery (CGI) software. Also known as three dimensional (3D) animation software, which is used mostly in the entertainment industry. 3D Animation software produce computer graphics that develop a three dimensional representation of geometric data which is stored in a computer for the purposes of performing calculations and rendering two-dimensional images.
  • Visual Communication? Visual communication is all about communicating a message by visual means. One of the main purposes for 3D animation software is for visual communication. 3D animation software is used to combine art and technology to communicate ideas and to create a unique, effective way of getting a message to the audience.
  • Development Software development in general is a difficult task because of how complex software production is. 3D animation software development is very time consuming especially when it is devoted to maintenance. The development process rapidly changes with new methods and approaches that constantly occur.
  • However…. One of the biggest issues for 3D animation software development is how frequently they need to be updated and changed. Therefore without the support and development, software systems become very complicated and unreliable.
  • Improvements? 3D animation software is very dependent on the maintenance of high quality, reliable, cost effective and efficient systems. As software becomes more complex, the construction, operation and maintenance of 3D animation software systems is dependent on well-defined, measured and managed software development and acquisition processes. Therefore there needs to be constant improvements in the development process.
  • So….
    • This Report will:
    • Identify the characteristics of 3D animation software
    • Discuss its use for Visual Communication
    • Identify the development process
    • Explains how to change and improve the development of software
    • Suggests improvements for the future
