  • 2. Be Proactive.
    • 1. Being Proactive. Taking Responsibility for your life. For Example, If you do something wrong don’t make excuses for yourself to try and get out of something.
  • 3. Begin with the end in Mind.
    • 2. Begin with the end in mind. Define your missions and goals in life. For Example, set short and long term goals like getting straight A’s before the end of a quarter for a short term goal and getting ready for college as a long term goal.
  • 4. Put First things First.
    • 3. Put First things First. Prioritize, and do the most important things first. For example, instead of getting home from school and playing video game first thing, spend a little time with your family then do your homework and if you’ve playing a sport for a long time worry about that then everything else come after that.
  • 5. Think Win-Win.
    • 4. Think Win-Win. Have an everyone can-win-attitude. For example, Think about everyone before yourself and then once everyone else has won then you can think about winning.
  • 6. Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood.
    • 5. Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood. Listen to people sincerely. For example, When an elder is giving you some words of wisdom it means they are trying to help you because they have been there before so listen to what they have to say.
  • 7. Synergize.
    • 6. Synergize. Work together to achieve more. For Example, If you really don’t like someone you don’t have to be friends with them you just have to be team mates to achieve higher goals.
  • 8. Sharpen The saw.
    • 7. Sharpen The saw. Renew yourself regularly. For example, you get in trouble for whatever reason, renew yourself so you never do it again and the same thing goes for if you do something good.
