  • 1. TRIANGLES AND ITS PROPERTIES… OJASVITA CHAUHAN VII MATHEMATICS
  • 2. What is a TRIANGLE???
  • 3. Triangles according to sides: Equilateral Triangle Isosceles Triangle Scalene Triangle Triangles according to angles: Acute Angle Triangle
  • 4. This property states that the sum of all angles of a triangle is equal to 180 degrees.
  • 5. Exterior Angle Property This property states that the angle formed on the extension of any side of the triangle is equal to the sum of any two interior angles.
  • 6. Triangle Inequality Property A property which states that the sum of the lengths of any two sides of a triangle must be greater than the length of the third side.
  • 7. CONGRUENCE of Triangles…. Triangles are congruent when all corresponding sides and interior angles are congruent. The triangles will have the same shape and size, but one may be a mirror image of the other. Two triangles can be congruent by the following ways: ASA: Angle Side Angle SAS: Side Angle Side SSS: Side Side Side
