Dead Drunk
A young teenager left a bar, got into his
car and drove away. About 400 yards
further, he was stopped by a police
officer.
Officer : Young man, we’re testing
drivers for drunken driving. Please blow
into this machine.
Teenager : I’m sorry sir. I have asthma.
I can’t do that ‘cause I’ll faint.
Officer : Please come to our office and
we can give you a blood test.
Teenager : I can’t do that. I’ll faint at the
sight of blood.
Officer : Then you’ll have to get out of your car and walk 5
yards along this white line.
Teenager : Can’t do that either.
Officer : Why not?
Teenager : Because I’m dead drunk.
Reflection
Beware of the dangers of alcohol and intoxication.
Today, more and more young ones have taken to
the bottle. One way or other, drunk drivers will
face the terrible consequences sooner or later.

The Braggart
The strong young man at the construction site was
bragging that he could outdo anyone in a feat of strength.
He made a special case of making fun of one of the older
workmen.
After several minutes, the older worker had had enough.
“Why don’t you put your money where your mouth is?”
the old man said. “I’ll bet a week’s wages that I can haul
something in a wheelbarrow over to that building that you
won’t be able to wheel back.”
“You’re on, old man,” the braggart replied. “Let’s see your
strength.”
The old man reached out and grabbed the wheelbarrow by
the handles. Then nodding to the young man, he said, “All
right. Now get in.”
Reflection
Sometimes an egoistic young person who insults
an elder needs to be taught a lesson in a cool and
ingenuous way. The virtues of being well-
mannered, courteous and polite are lacking
among many young ones today ... is this due to
our modern rat- race and materialistic society?
