May I refrain from harming or killing any living being.

May I cultivate loving-kindness and compassion towards all living beings.

May I reduce my yearning to take and increase my yearning to give.

May my practice of Dana or Generosity grow.

May I be mindful and check my pursuit of sensual pleasures.

May I develop a greater calmness and stillness of my mind.

May I lead a life of simplicity and contentment.

May I be mindful and avoid saying untrue things that cause others hurt, pain and unhappiness.

May I be mindful of my speech and avoid slandering other people.

May I refrain from using rude, abusive and harsh speech.

May my speech be filled more with words of loving-kindness, skill and wisdom.

May I refrain from gossip or frivolous talk that brings about quarrels, friction, disharmony and enmity among others.

May I practice more beneficial speech…speech that will help others grow in wisdom.

May I cut my Greed. May I refrain from any deed arising from Greed.

May I reduce my attachment to and grasping of material things.

May my mind be free from ill-will, anger, jealousy, enmity and hatred.

May I constantly radiate Metta or Loving-Kindness to all beings.

May I have Right Understanding and see things as they really are.

May I rid my mind of delusion and spiritual ignorance.
