Where is the heart located?? The heart is a myogenicmuscularorganfound in all animals with a circulatory system (including all vertebrates), that is responsible for pumping blood throughout the blood vessels by repeated, rhythmic contractions. The term cardiac (as in cardiology) means "related to the heart" and comes from the Greek καρδιά, kardia, for "heart“. The heart sits in the middle of your chest. It is about as big as your fist.

Heart Diseases!!!! Heart attack-A heart attack is placed when part of your muscle does not get the blood from the coronary arteries. Arrhythmia-Arrhythmia is an abnormal rhythm. It occurs when the heart rate is abnormal. Tachycardia- Tachycardia is when the heart beats too quickly.
What keeps the heart safe?? The ribs protect the heart from being damaged. They are very hard and protective. The sternum holds the ribs together , so that is another part that keeps it safe.
Smoking and drinking can DAMAGE a person’s heart!
