  • 2. Where is the heart located??
    The heart is a myogenicmuscularorganfound in all animals with a circulatory system (including all vertebrates), that is responsible for pumping blood throughout the blood vessels by repeated, rhythmic contractions. The term cardiac (as in cardiology) means "related to the heart" and comes from the Greek καρδιά, kardia, for "heart“. The heart sits in the middle of your chest. It is about as big as your fist.
  • 3. The Circulatory System!!
    • Exercise helps keep the Circulatory System healthy.
    • 4. The heart is in the Circulatory System.
    • 5. Blood vessels are in the Circulatory System.
    • 6. Fruits keep the Circulatory System healthy.
    • 7. Vegetables keep the Circulatory System healthy.
  • 8. Break Time?!?!?!...
    What would happen if your heart got “fired?”
    It would not WORK!!!
  • 9. The Heart!!
    If you did not have a heart you would not be alive. The heart helps you breath , and if you didn’t have a heart you wouldn’t be able to breath . The heart also helps keep other body parts running . Those body parts won’t be running without the heart.

    Heart attack-A heart attack is placed when part of your muscle does not get the blood from the coronary arteries.
    Arrhythmia-Arrhythmia is an abnormal rhythm. It occurs when the heart rate is abnormal.
    Tachycardia- Tachycardia is when the heart beats too quickly.
  • 12. What keeps the heart safe??
    The ribs protect the heart from being damaged.
    They are very hard and protective. The sternum holds the ribs together , so that is another part that keeps it safe.

  • 14. What helps keep your heart healthy??
    • The more you exercise your lungs and heart , the healthier they are. Bicycling , swimming, and running are all good ways to exercise.
    • 15. Eating fruits
    • 16. Smoking and drinking can DAMAGE a person’s heart!
  • Brain or Heart??
    Most people agree that brain is better than the heart because it controls your whole body.
    Some people think that the heart is better because it helps you stay alive.
    Really there is no real answer .It just depends on what your heart believes or what your brain thinks.

    The heart is located in the Circulatory System . It is a myogenic muscular organ.
    WHAT IS THE HEART RESPONSIBLE FOR????
    It is responsible for pumping blood.
    WHAT ARE THE GOOD AND BAD THINGS FOR YOUR HEART???? Name them on a seperate piece of paper.
