  • 4. WHAT IS OBESITY?
    • Obesity is a medical condition in which excess body fat has accumulated to the extent that it may have an adverse effect on health, leading to reduced life expectancy and/or increased health problems.
    • 5. Is caused by a combination of excessive daily calories.

    (30 – 45 minutes / per day)

    • 8. Is a measurement which compares weight and height.
    • 9. Defines people as overweight (pre-obese) when their BMI is between 25kg/m2 and 30kg/m2

  • 11. TYPE OF BMI
    ANY BMI = 35 – 40 40 is SEVERE OBESITY
    A BMI of 35 or 40 – 44.9 or 49.9 is MORBID OBESITY
    A BMI of > 45 or 50 is SUPER OBESE
  • 12. SOLUTION
    Control on your diet. Replace oily foods with steam or boiled food.
    Parents should be concern of their children’s health especially in terms of what they eat. Encourage them to eat healthy food.
    Encourage the children to involved in outdoor activities. Organized sports like running, hiking, cycling etc
    Self discipline.
    For the obese people, it is best for them to get a personal trainer to lose weight in workouts.
