Ash Wednesday
Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent
in the liturgical calendars. Celebrated
forty days before the start of Holy
Week, of the Palm Sunday. The ash is
produced or extracted from Ramos
prior Blessed Easter, of the Palm
Sunday, these are incinerated and there
goes to the Holy Ash.
This day occurs on a different date each
year, according to the latest date of
Easter. It can happen between 4th of
February and 10th of March

Old Lent is in the
Catalan Countries, the
graphical
representation of Lent.
It is shaped like an old
and wrinkled
grandmother with
seven legs and she loses
one of her legs during
the weeks that are
before Lent.
