Why I started ObamaIsTheMan.com I feel strongly about this election and Obama’s message of CHANGE. I’ve felt strongly about other political issues in the past but I’ve never taken action because the options always felt too self-righteous or too lame. So I’ve created something that is hip, young, and even funny at times. I want to give other young voters an easy way to contribute to the campaign, monetarily, and to help promote the campaign in a way that fits our lifestyles. Besides, there’s gotta be a cooler way to show our support for Obama than the design below (no offense, but it doesn’t represent how I feel about THE MAN and his campaign). There are plenty of semi-clever shirts available for purchase but there weren’t any fully-clever shirts that are also styled, green, and = campaign dollars for THE MAN. Why you care… This part is really up to you. But if you’ve read this far, I think it’s safe to say that you do care. So the question very quickly becomes, WHAT DOES CHANGE MEAN TO YOU? If you think we have real problems in this country and you want to elect the candidate that is most likely to do something about it, you have to take ACTION. Talk is cheap and complaining doesn’t help (though sometimes it feels good, so that’s ok if you have to let it out before you do something about it - complain away as long as you take ACTION after). If you want to quit smoking, when’s the best time to start? It’s not New Years. It’s not the day after your birthday. You guessed it, NOW is the best time to take ACTION! I care because I love this country and I love this planet, and they both need fixing.
