Transcript

  • 1. Bloom’s Revised Taxonomy
  • 2. Blooms Taxonomy is a multi-tiered model of classifying thinkingaccording to six cognitive levels of complexity, first published in1956. Blooms six major categories were changed from noun toverb forms in 2001.
  • 3. Bloom’s Revised Taxonomy puts intowriting what art teachers have known for years: It is much more difficult - and a higher order of thinking –to create something new rather than to apply evaluation to it.
  • 4. Why should you post the revised Bloom’sTaxonomy in your art room? You can use it as a visual reminder foryourself. You can refer to it when askingstudents to identify the levels at which theyare working throughout a project and duringcritique. It is also beneficial to have it ondisplay when you are evaluated by anadministrator.
