  • 2. e-Learning team Learning & Teaching Enhancement OfficeWhy Moodle 2.2?• Moodle 1.9 is coming to the end of life for Moodle Foundation support.• The new version encompasses a range of enhancements, many of which users have been requested in the past.• Moodle 2.2 designed with clarity and ease of navigation in mind, and more accessible for mobile devices.
  • 3. e-Learning team Learning & Teaching Enhancement OfficeHow will the upgrade happen?• The e-Learning Team supported by BUCS, with the upgrade scheduled for summer 2012.• Communication through the internal home page and LTEO website, Moodle Service blog and Moodle Staff Area.• Support provided via Moodle 2.2 Familiarisation seminars, followed by small group support.• Creation of a new online Moodle Support Hub.
  • 4. e-Learning team Learning & Teaching Enhancement OfficeWhat stays the same?• The majority of existing content migrated from 1.9 to 2.2, with integrations for SAMIS, Panopto and Turnitin will be retained.• Process for creating hyperlinks, posting to forums as well as using the range of Moodle activities remain broadly similar.• The Journal activity will no longer be available.What is different?• Let’s find out!
