  • 1. Get the most out of your library! Make a “To Read” List NASHVILLE PUBLIC LIBRARY
  • 2. To start your “To Read” or “Things to Check Out” list, you need to create a free WorldCat account at www.npl.worldcat.org .
  • 3. Click the WorldCat Sign in link.
  • 4. Make up a username and password...
  • 5. … then click Continue .
  • 6. Type the title you’re looking for in the box…
  • 7. … then click Search .
  • 8. Scroll through the list until you find the title you are looking for.
  • 9. We’ll click on My Life in France .
  • 10. Scroll down to see if the book is available.
  • 11. You can place a hold. Or, you can add this to a “To Read” List.
  • 12. Click Add to list .
  • 13. Click To Read .
  • 14. Click Add to list .
  • 15. My Life in France is on my WorldCat “To Read” list.
  • 16. Once there is a spot open on my hold list, I can go to www.npl.worldcat.org and Sign In.
  • 17. After I’ve signed in, I can click on My WorldCat …
  • 18. … and click on My Lists .
  • 19. And here is my “To Read” list.
  • 20. Click on any title and you can place a hold.
