Encore OPACOctober 2011 Update<br />
When you find a book, dvd, or other item in the Encore OPAC, there are a couple of things you can do.<br />
We’ll search for cats and take a look at the options.<br />
Each item in the results list has a Request button and an Add to cart button.<br />
You can use these links to quickly request items or collect several items in a shopping cart.<br />
The Request and Add to cart links are also at the top of each item record.<br />Let’s Requestthis book.<br />
Log in with your library card number and PIN.<br />
You’ll get a window asking for a pickup location.<br />Choose your branch and click Submit.<br />
But what if you want to request a lot of items?<br />Is there a way to speed things up?<br />Yes!<br />
In my results list, I’ve found the first book I want to request.<br />I’ll click Add to cart…<br />
…and the link changes to read Remove from cart. This lets me know the item was successfully added.<br />
I’ve found another title I want to request.<br />I’ll click Add to cart…<br />
…and the link changes to read Remove from cart. This lets me know the item was successfully added.<br />
The link for the Cart is at the top of the Encore OPAC screen.<br />
There are two items in my cart. Both are selected with a checkmark. If I wanted to unselect an item, I can click the check...
I want to request both of these items.<br />I’ll click Request.<br />

I can save to an existing list by choosing from the drop down menu. Or I can make a new list – that’s what we’ll do.<br />
Type the name of your list. Give it a description if you want to.<br />
Then click Createto save your list.<br />
The confirmation tells you your list was saved.<br />
Lists are saved in your Library Account.<br />To view your saved lists, click on the My Account link.<br />
Click My Lists  to view your saved lists.<br />
