2. Early in the morning, packing up for camping

We’re going up the White Mountains

42. Reached the Black River

46. Nice clear sky

47. Sky turned cloudy, and soon our fun ended

48. Rains
made
our
track
slushy,
and we
got
bogged
down

49. This was the third time, and it’s getting late

50. We successfully pulled the vehicle out, but…

51. We found the road ahead to be more slushy. We had neither
the courage to move forward nor the energy to trace back.

52. Ashwin started
calling for
help…
As per the GPS, we
seem to be somewhere
deep inside Apache
Indian Reservation
Area. None was willing
to tow us out. If the cops
find out, the vehicle
could be confiscated
and we’ll be in the
cooler for trespassing.
If the Indians find us,
they can shoot us

53. I tried gulping it down with some apple juice

54. Then sat down, thinking…
Mulling over my life so far.:
childhood, education, challenges in life.
Thinking about my lovely wife back home.
And the good fortune I’d been having:
making photo-stories in Japan, China, US.
Remembering my true friends like you
