  • 2. Virus <ul><li>A virus is a computer program that can damage files and the operating system </li></ul><ul><li>A small programs, called viruses and worms, can do a lot of damage to an unprotected computer. </li></ul>
  • 3. Antivirus Program <ul><li>An Antivirus Program protects a computer against viruses by identifying and removing any computer viruses found in memory, on storage media, or in incoming files. </li></ul>
  • 4. Running Antivirus Software <ul><li>You should always run antivirus software. </li></ul><ul><li>Simply install an antivirus program on your computer and set it up so that it scans all the incoming files. </li></ul>
  • 5. Update Your Antivirus <ul><li>Once installed, the software will scan the files for all known viruses. </li></ul><ul><li>New viruses emerge from time to time; be sure to update your antivirus software regularly. </li></ul>
