Y3/4 Quadkids Athletics Tournament

After over 40 Year 3 and Year 4 children had attended the Quadkids athletics club over the last 6 weeks, 8 children were
chosen to represent the school in the four disciplines - 50m sprint, 400m run, the Mini Vortex howler throw and the
standing long jump.

Our boys team of Tom Mitchell, Tom Langford, Tom Lawson and Ollie Rimmer came joint 2nd in the boys event while the
girls team of Joanna Meyler, Alex Mackey, Lucy Berry and Anya Day finished 5th. Overall Norwood finished 4th out of the 7
schools taking part and were the only Southport school involved against 6 other Formby schools. Congratulations on a
superb performance and to all the children, who took part in Quadkids athletics club. We have lots of talented and
enthusiastic athletes and it was terrific to see so many attend every Thursday on the field.
