  • Year 5's trip to Tatton We arrived at Tatton on a bright, sunny day. As we drove through the park we saw hundreds of deer next to a massive lake and huge fields. We were escorted to a room where we put our lunch and coats. Michael and Jamie were chosen to knock on the front door of Sir Richard's house. Aaron and I were secretly chosen to do some acting, we had to pretend we had stolen Sir Richard's money and a letter! Aaron was beaten and I, along with our helper Patrick, were locked in the stocks while the rest booed. Master Johnson was about to chop off our heads but Good Wife Mitchell persuaded him to spare us! We were split in to five groups and we were given different tasks flour making, deer tracking, carding, wattle and daub making. We all did archery and jousting as well during lunch, which we ate outside. We were joined by the hens. Thank you Mr Postlethwaite and Mrs McCarthy for a great day out.
