  • The presenter for today will be Don Hartman, Program Director for the Master of Arts in Military History Program. He will be joined by Toni Raftery, MPA Alumni and MPA Instructional Developer.Dr. Hartman has a Juris Doctor from Gonzaga Law School and a Masters of Environmental Law from George Washington University. He has worked in the federal and public sector for over 35 years, most recently as the Deputy Commissioner of the Vermont Department of Corrections. His legal career includes assignments as lead counsel for the Vermont Department of Corrections and Assistant Judge Advocate for the Air Force. Don has taught adult learners for nearly two decades and occasionally teaches military justice in the undergraduate program for Norwich University.Toni Raftery graduated from the Norwich MPA program in June 2008 and has been working as an Instructional Developer for almost six years. She is originally from Wichita Kansas, but has lived in Vermont since 1988. Before she came to Norwich, she worked five years as the Online Marketing and Web Manager for an academic publishing company. I would now like to welcome your first speaker, Dr. Hartman.
