  2. 2. About Lisa After graduating from UMass-Amherst, I began a20-year career as an Environmental Police Officer. I alsohave a Masters degree in Criminal Justice from WestfieldState University. I served as the President of my union, theMassachusetts Environmental Police Officers Association,and successfully handled contract negotiations, laborrelations, grievances and safety issues. My first business was Pioneer Valley Balloons, acommercial hot air balloon business where I havemaintained a perfect safety record every year since itsinception in 1999. With a business partner, I purchased theNorthampton Airport in 2004. Weve grown the flightschool, started a summer youth flying program, and addedmany new hangars and services. Since 2009, I have alsobeen a co-owner of a new restaurant in Easthampton,Venus and the Cellar Bar. I served on the board of the Ward 3 NeighborhoodAssociation from its beginning until 2006, and have been aConservation Commissioner for Northampton since 2007. Ibelieve in our neighborhood and work hard to make it safe,comfortable, and economically strong. I also volunteer for Labs4Rescue, a non-profitorganization working to place labs and lab mixes intopermanent homes. www.lisaFusco.org
