  • 2. I print copies of my rolls from time to time to use as checklists or to record grades until I enter them into IG Pro. This technique takes a few minutes to set up, but once you’ve done it, you have copies of your rolls ready at a moment’s notice. You can even save a copy to take home on your thumb drive. It’s also a useful technique for storing a copy of your interims as they appeared on the day they were printed.

  • 4. Cute PDF
    • First, you’ll need a piece of free software called Cute PDF .
    • Cute PDF allows you to convert any document into a PDF (Printable Document Format) file.
    • You can download it from here .
    • It will install on your computer in about 30 seconds.
  • 5. Using Cute PDF with Any File
    • Cute PDF will convert any document (Word, spreadsheet, web page) into a PDF file.
    • Open the document.
    • Choose File, Print.
    • Cute PDF Writer will be one of your printer options. Choose it and click OK.

    • A box like this one will pop up.
    • Choose a location and name for your document.
    • Click Save .
    • You can now open the document as a PDF.

    • To use Cute PDF with IG Pro, you must first set your default printer to Cute PDF.
    • Click Start.
    • Click Printers and Faxes .

    • Right click on Cute PDF Writer .
    • Click on Set as Default Printer .
    • Open IG Pro as you normally would to print your rolls. You must open IG Pro after changing your printer.

    • Save each class period in a location that’s easy to find.
    • Whenever you need a copy, open the document and print. You don’t need to open IG Pro every time.
    • Save a copy of the files on your thumb drive to carry with you.
    • Reset your default printer to use your normal printer.

    • Make sure Cute PDF is set as your default printer.
    • Use IG Pro to create your progress reports as you normally do.
    • Your progress reports will be saved as a multi-page PDF file.

    • If a student loses an interim, you can reprint an identical copy from your PDF, even if you have entered additional grades.
    • Open the PDF. Locate the page of the student you want to print. (Check your printer.)
    • Choose File , Print .
    • Click the Current Page button.
    • Click OK .
