After 8 weeks on non stop work with flood victims, we have realized that as winters approaches these people could neither be left in the cold nor be provided food and clothing indefinately. The crisis is far from over but the relief has turned into early recovery. HERE IS WHAT IS NEEDED NOW!

Relief Efforts Round 1 <ul><li>Nowshera Aug 8, 2010 </li></ul><ul><li>3000 women stuck on the roofs of their houses, clothes torn </li></ul><ul><li>Largest numbers of death in infants 80% </li></ul><ul><li>SAF provided aid to over 500 families in Nowshera </li></ul><ul><li>Immediate aid included food, clothing and clean drinking water </li></ul>
    4. 4. Relief Efforts Round 2 <ul><li>Risalpur Aug 14, 2010 </li></ul><ul><li>6,000 needy in the camps who were evacuated by Pak Army till wee hours of night. Al-Jazeera video on our Army Partners </li></ul><ul><li>. E-360 joined in to spread the word. Major donations coming from local investors </li></ul><ul><li>Spent independence day with the children </li></ul><ul><li>Provided support to over 1,000 families </li></ul><ul><li>Support included food, clothing and kiddie gift packs </li></ul>

Relief Efforts Round 4 <ul><li>Risalpur Aug 28, 2010 </li></ul><ul><li>BBC coverage for Shahina Aftab Foundation on 26 Aug “ Pakistan floods: worst is yet to come ”. </li></ul><ul><li>Major out break of diseases in KPK resulting in death of over 500 women & infants </li></ul><ul><li>IMMEDIATE LAUNCH OF “life saving kits campaigns”--- support from Mr. Kamran Lashri Secretary, Min of Petroleum & CDA. </li></ul><ul><li>Major support for SAF from US. Angel Russel featured in Martha’s Vineyard Times talking of support to SAF. </li></ul><ul><li>2 truck loads of food for the people with launch of women empowerment project. </li></ul>

Relief Efforts Round 5 <ul><li>SWAT, September 5, 2010 </li></ul><ul><li>Operation Imdad--- the largest land & air operation to support SWAT PEOPLE </li></ul><ul><li>Road networks were broken, mobile communication dead & security risks high. Just a day after Dir Finance had come out of hospital. </li></ul><ul><li>SAF launched major campaign for operation IMDAD--- in collaboration with SAF(UK) & Mehru Asad & Khizer Haroon in UK. Special thanks to Mr. Shabzada Bashir for extraordinary support. PIA & NDMA all out to help SAF. </li></ul><ul><li>21 Hours of non stop service in SWAT. </li></ul><ul><li>In collaboration with Pak Army inaccessible areas of Kalam & Madian were reached. </li></ul>

Relief Efforts Round 6 <ul><li>Charsadda, September 15, 2010 </li></ul><ul><li>Largest accounting body of the county, ACCA Pakistan interview Dir Finance on Floods, role of SAF & Impact on Pakistani Economy </li></ul><ul><li>Major linkage created with Islamabad International School . </li></ul><ul><li>To the families who lost loved ones, income & houses. </li></ul><ul><li>CEO survived acute diarrhea condition. </li></ul><ul><li>Eid Gift packs distributed to over 100 children. </li></ul><ul><li>Women given clothes over 270 women. </li></ul><ul><li>Food rations provided to families. </li></ul>
